RURAL EXPERIENCE
Middlehurst Station supplies fine merino wool to national and international clothing brands such as Ice Breaker and Allbirds. On this tour you will see inside the Station Woolshed and get an understanding of our sheep shearing operations. Merino fleece will be on display to feel, and a shepherd with their team of dogs will give a demonstration of their expertise.

Hire a “Trek” mountain e-bike to get a little further with your time. Wind your way along the Middlehurst farm tracks or cycle to the start of Molesworth Station and explore the historic cob cottage. In this steep and rugged countryside a little extra help is always appreciated...

WOOD FIRED HOT TUB
A natural spring at the base of Mt Lookout provides gravity fed water to wood fired hot tubs only meters from The Quarters accommodation. Positioned separately and screened, they allow privacy and total relaxation for our guests to enjoy soaking in pure mountain mineral water. Cost includes lighting and stocking ensuring the tub is hot and ready for your arrival.

Allow 3 hours from Hanmer Springs via Jacks Pass - do not take Jollies Pass! It is unmaintained and could be dangerous.
And 2 hours from Blenheim (google maps often advises 5 hours and this is not true. We are working hard to get this changed).

Due to the unique nature of premises, the 2 bedroom apartment is the only accommodation available for self catering. Unless you are booking the 2 bedroom apartment, then selecting a cuisine package is essential. There are no nearby cafes or restaurants.

There is no reception once you leave Hanmer Springs and State Highway 1. We do however have high speed fibre internet.

We guarantee a gastronomical experience that will do more than just satisfy your taste buds. Menus include premium beef and lamb from Middlehurst Station, herbs and vegetables from the farm's greenhouse and fresh eggs collected daily.

Travel by road along the iconic Molesworth Muster trail from Hanmer Springs between 1st October and Easter Weekend, or the Awatere Valley Road from Seddon all year round.
If driving from Hanmer springs, always take Jack's pass! Allow 3 hours.
From Seddon, allow 2 hours.
